good place for a group lunch or dinner but the food has been much more skimpy these days than in the past. I usually get full off of the thin chips with a side of guacamole.

I actually really like Chevy's! I mean, it's not authentic Mexican food, but it's Tex Mex, so I feel like for a chain restaurant that serves Tex Mex, it's pretty good! And with coupons (they generally even accept expired ones), it's fairly cheap. I especially like their mixed grill fajitas, which come on a sizzling plate (I LOVE sizzling plates) with yummy mini flour tortillas (that you can watch being made in an addictive little machine) and with ribs, chicken, steak, and shrimp. I don't know that ribs really belong in fajitas, but I eat it separately and it tastes pretty good so I'll take it!
Usually their chips and salsa are pretty good, but this past time, their chips were too oily, but meh, they're free and the salsa is still good! I wouldn't normally review a Chevy's (even though I have enjoyed some good times there.. birthdays are always amusing heh), but I felt like their service this past time was really good! Not necessarily the fastest, but so so nice whether it was for getting us refills of salsa or water etc or after paying the check ("Thank you, thank you for coming!"). I'll have to come back more often anytime a Tex Mex craving hits.

I love this Chevy's because it sits on the water, that would probably be the only reason to come here.
Chevy's is overpriced, and not fantastic authentic Mexican by any stretch. BUT, they are far better then El Torito or On the Boarder. I am not a big chain fan, but this is one chain I find to be decent and edible.
Typical Chevy's menu. The service has been exceptionally SLOW over the past 3-4 years. Coupon specials occasionally make up for the service.

Chevy's is what I consider Mexican Denny's. The only thing Mexican in the restaurant is the staff. They are the real deal, the food is not.
I would prefer Pancho Villa in downtown San Mateo, but sometimes, I get lazy and settle for something close to home, MexiDenny's. The food isn't great, but it's close to my house. Many, many years ago, they had a dish called Yucatan. I recall the waitress who waited on me was blond hair blue eye/Swedish looking. When I told her I wanted the Yucatan, she said, great, and repeated my order to me in perfect English until she said Yucatan. It went something like this:
Me: I would like one order of Yuctan.
Her: In perfect English, "Great! that will be one order of YU-KA THON." She would say it with curled tongue and emphasize the Hispanic accent. I loved it cuz it was so novel, to have a Blond hair blue eye person speak English with no accent until she said "YU-KA-THON."Kinda like when the retired Channel 4 reporter says, "Reporting live from SAHN-HOSAY (San Jose), this is RICCO CHA-KHON (Rico Chacon) for Channel 4 news.
B4 I forget, the service here is a joke. Pretty bad. I come here maybe once every 6 months, if that. Used to come here a lot more long ago when they had the YU-KA-THON, and better service.

I usually love Chevy's. In fact, when I worked in the city, we'd go to the one in the Embarcadero Center twice a week for happy hour... but Chevy's Foster City just does not match it.
First off, I realize Chevy's is not "authentic Mexican food." I'm aware, but I categorize it as "Mexican-Influenced" so it actually has a chance to win this genre. Add in their fresh hot tortillas, $3 happy hour specials and my love of margaritas and nachos and you'd think they'd slam it home right?
Wrong. The service was terrible. Our order took forever (we were only having maragritas and nachos) and we had to constantly ask for them to refill the chips... hello, we were hungry waiting for our nachos!
I'd go back, but they really need to learn to do better.
Lets call this review, CRAP! mkay?
i understand that Chevy's has pretty good margarita's? whatever.
they were CRAP. even the ice tea tasted like musky cologne, it was CRAP. Musky cologne? what? i don't know, it was weird, none of us could figure that one out. the only drink that was good was my Corona!!! it was a little hard to screw that one up. except they for got the damn lime. bastards! its just not the same without the lime :(
i had the cinco (Chevy's super combo) what? i know, i was being a total fat ass, but f*** it, i was hungry, too bad it turned out to be....CRAP. infact, the only thing good on the plate was the Chile relleno and the little child size spoonful of corn mush.
the taco, the enchilada, the tamale, the rice, and even the refried beans were all CRAP. seriously. how do you f up rice and beans?
maybe the whole idea with this place is to have a lot of CRAPPY drinks and get blasted before you eat, that way you wont care or remember how CRAPPY the food was too.
they get one star for their grubbin chips n salsa. one star for being on the water. that's it
it is a great location, and hangin out by the water is cool.....its just to bad its occupied by a Chevy's I'm out............

I don't think I've ever reviewed a chain restaurant, and there are better Mexican restaurants out there (see my review of Hola in Burlingame), but when they serve up their "Fresh Mex", they do it right, at a very reasonable price.
Top shelf margaritas with 1800 Reposado and fresh lime juice for under $10. Did I mention that's for a large? And plenty of fruity blended options for my wife.
Guacamole made fresh at your table. A little pricey for guac, but delicious.
Fajitas with fresh hot tortillas!
Probably not the freshest thing on the menu, but their flautas are great.
When I've come here with vegitarians, they really like the portobello and asparagus fajitas/burritos. A good change of pace from traditional vegi mexican food, which usuall consists of cheese enchiladas and quesadillas.

Margaritas on the waterfront with my wife while the kids are preoccupied playing with tortilla dough and watching the tortilla making machine: priceless!
Otherwise, its your basic Tex Mex chain restaurant. Food, value, service all just okay.

Living in Foster City since 1980, we've been to Chevys, Edgewater Shopping Center several times a year. The Setting is Wonderful.
Last night, at approximately 7:30 PM, my wife (Jen-zilla) and I drove through the southern entrance to the complex. I immediately noted 1/2 dozen Rat Traps around the perimeter of the Chevy's restaurant. Hmmmmm.
As we walked into through the main entrance, I noted a very stale smell permeating the Party Room and malingering out to the front desk.
We stood there for several minutes before the Host approached us and I gave my name. He told us it would be 15 minutes and took my name down.
I then walked down the west side of the restaurant and motioned for Jen to follow.... In the main eating room, we were surprised to find that the tables were not quite 1/2 full. Jen was so surprised she walked back in and approached the Host asking him why it was a 15 minute wait when the restaurant even the bar area seemed about 50% capacity? The Host's answer was "Not enough servers."
I didn't actually count the servers which were all male30s to 40s with strong accents and I'm not talk'n Jersey or New York. What struck me odd was that I didn't see one female server. The current Chevys environment was a stark contrast to the 1990s and 2000 to 2003 when Chevys, Foster City was always crowded and more of a rocking entertaining place.
After waiting over 20 minutes w/o being seated, disgusted, we left , and went to Taco Bell for the usual Nachos Bell Grande and Crispy Tacos... extra jalapenos please.
Recap: The Food at Chevys has been OK, but not as tasty as other establishments I've eaten at. (BEST Being Fidel's in San Diego years ago) Its really about the environment. Second Best: Estrada's Spanish Kitchen in Colma (Heyday 1980s). Here in the New Millennium, things have obviously changed and PERFECTION is not an apparent priority.
What's needed is to bring in a crop of female drop-dead gorgeous servers to keep the males on their toes and raise the level of excitement. 'FRESH MEX' ???.... I'm sorry, more like a needs a FRESH ATTITUDE and the owner and management needs to take a look in the mirror.
Finally, cleanliness.... maybe they should invest in on of those NEW as seen on the TV Programing, the new Turbo Hydro Vacs (like the $1800 Rainbow Vacs) offered and take advantage of (2 for 1) where you can throw a touch of air freshener in their Water Filter Tanks... in Foster City Chevy's case, try Pine Sol, and Clean and Vac the place.... maybe that will reduce the Rat Infestation and stale sweaty smell.
If it weren't for the high price of gasoline, we would have driven up the Peninsula to Celia's which has very good service, beautiful female servers and good tasting food and higher quality cheese on their dishes. We've noticed that many of the Mexican Restaurants are using horrible Cheese Whiz type Cheddar on their dishes... the worst, Fernando's in San Mateo.
One of these days, I'll take a chance and return to Chevys and sample the food again. Servers come and go as well as management which needs to go.

Chevy's on the water. I love it. This Chevy's and the one in Emeryville off Powell Street 80E are the two best in the Bay Area. . . except with this Chevy's, I ALWAYS get a crazy blast from the past. I see old friends from high school, middle school, elementary school.. it's a trip.
Ok.. now for the restaurant itself. Servers are super nice. Food's what you would expect at Chevy's (and btw, I love Chevy's. I love the margaritas, I love that everyone's ok with us getting drunk and cackling away in our little corner for endless hours, and I love that you get bottomless chips/salsa and tortillas.
I just had the steak fajita burrito last night. That shit was good. Not mexican mexican food, but CA style fresh mex smothered with cheese so not really fresh mex anymore gooey goodness of a fajita burrito.

All this talkin' about Chevy's got me thinking..."did I write a review about them yet??"
Lo and behold, I haven't! Which is strange...
I came here for my 11th surprise birthday party. My dad said, "Hey, we're going to meet your uncle here, and then go out to dinner, ok?" Sure, why the hell not. What answer were you expecting? "No, dad, F that noise. I'm takin' the car and we go where I want to go, WHEN I want to go." He's known for rhetorical questioning...
I walked in, and there was a big table filled with all my friend's parents. First of all, I gave the "wtf face" because, well, friends? Wtf were those? I had no friends. My mother paid everyone off. So then mine deaf ears opened up (not to mention the wild gesticulation of said friends parents telling me to look to my right...), and there was a table full of my "friends!". FUN! For once in my life, I was surprised. We ate, drank coke, and had alot of fun. We continued the part at my house and did a white elephant thing (which for some reason I wasn't opposed to because as FAR AS I WAS CONCERNED it was MY PARTY and I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET GIFTS not anyone else.)
Exactly 10 YEARS LATER, after all the crappy food, the terrible service, the wonderously tasteless balloon art going from fun to just plain creepy...I went back for my 21st birthday. First order of business? Get Panda really, really, really drunk. In front of my parents. Sooooo would the extra large margarita do it? Why yes! yes it would. Unfortunately, all that slush filled my stomach up and I couldn't enjoy any of the food, despite the fact that it looked tasteless..again. The corn mush shit is the BOMB though!
On several other occasions, however, I have been here for shots of tequila, Modelo Negro, and company with my cousin, Rusty. You see, Rusty is the black sheep of our family (apparently). He hadn't shown up to an xmas eve party in YEARS, so when I turned 21 (and he moved to FC after his divorce), I took him out on my birthday and we've been drinking together ever since. Healthy relationship? Probably not, but I love him so it doesn't matter.
Also, he's single and ready to mingle, but he farts a lot. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Came here for lunch this afternoon. After a 20 minute wait, we finally had a waiter come by to take our order. 15 minutes later, our drinks came....and a long while later, our food came....
Chips and Salsa were continuously refilled so that was good...they were pretty tasty too.
The presentation of the lunch special was poor. No fancy garnishes...just the food, no frills...
Service: 1 star
Food: 2 stars
ai yah...
Well, this was really weird. We have been going to Chevy's for years and usually this location. We know it's a chain and we love other more authentic Mexican restaurants (the small burrito hole-in-the-wall places) too, but for a family dinner out, everyone is usually happy.
We went for my son's bday. When we got there, we waited 15 minutes. The parking lot was full, so we figured they were busy (weird for a Tuesday night at 8pm)
Went in and sat down. The waiter was nice, but he seemed nervous and not used to talking to people. The brought chips in these baskets that were so small it was funny. No salsa. We asked and they said it was coming. No silverwear and napkins on the table.
Finally, after getting 2 more refills of chips, the salsa arrived. There were 7 of us including 3 teenagers and everyone was hungry. Well, the salsa is always delicious at Chevys...
My husband and I had the watermelon margarita and it was good.
We started to notice that it was practically empty in the place and wondered why we had to wait. We noticed that there were plenty of servers running around, but the service was not good. The manager seemed to be running around also. Not sure what has happened here. Food took longer than normal and was mediocre. More spicy than usual, but not in a good way. Beans were too salty.
Worse yet...El Machino was not going. Little guy was disappointed and no hot tortillas eiher.
What is going on?
It's a chain restaurant, so what do you expect? Actually, you know what to expect, so in many ways, it's great. It gets three stars from me because of its location, location, location. Situated right on the Foster City lagoon, it's a perfect place to go without reservations if you want to enjoy the views. We eat at the bar, and we never have problems finding seats. I usually order a salad or their fish taco platter, and I'm never disappointed because I know what to expect. It's not fantastic food, but you know it's going to be Chevy's quality. Unfortunately for me, they keep refilling the chip bowl so then I'm too stuffed to eat my meal. Great salsa and excellent margaritas!

I don't why I keep going back here, I always leave with a tummy ache from eating too much. Probably because it's a teacher hang out at lunchtime, and lets face it I am a teacher in foster city. P.s. there is maybe 2 good restaurants in foster city so what do I have to lose. Well, what brings me back is the tortilla soup, I swear whenever I am hungry I crave it! My boyfriend always gets the steak tacos. The service isn't the greatest, it's a chain. I'm on the fence, but it's worth trying the tortilla soup.

I went to this Chevy's location today and it was awful! I just moved to the area and the Chevy's I used to go to was always reliably good. But this one just stunk. The service was terrible--waiter kept forgetting about us, I had to ask other servers to send him over twice. He messed up our bill and overcharged us. Our food was burnt but also cold. (???) My kids' meals looked like they'd been dropped on the floor and put back on the plate--messy and unappetizing!! I'm never going back there.
3.5 Stars for Chevy's! They're chips are addictive. So fresh, crispy, warm...with a carona or a margarita and you've got perfection. Their other foods are so so, but if you like big portions then this is the place. I always come out of here stuffed. Get their combo platters.
This Chevy's is probably better than most. The location is top top as it is right on the water, in fact it's on a pier that extends into the Foster City lagoon. It has nice large windows so you can really feel like you're eating out on the water without pelicans sh***ing on your head.
The food is unfortunately Chevy's. Chevy's is not Mexican food, it's honkie food in Mexican clothing. The two things I order most are the mixed grill fajitas and the carnitas burrito. Both are really terrible. If you look up the nutritional information online, each has your full days salt and calories for one meal without tortillas. I'm not sure how they came up with the "fresh Mex" concept but it's really not that great.
The best thing I ever had there completely pissed off my friends who were eating with me. They had "mango chicken". What the hell? Mangos? Who the hell puts mangos on chicken? So I ordered mango chicken with no mangos. This puzzled them completely. Our food came out 50 minutes later and I have to say my chicken was the bomb. Unfortunately my friend's lettuce sitting under the heat lamp for 40 minutes didn't thrill him.
As for drinks, you're in good shape. I roll super grande Ultimate Margaritas. If you come in for lunch and pound down three of those in an hour you'll be in for a great afternoon at work. Other good choices are Dos Equis which they have on tap. I recommend getting two of them with lime and then drinking two shots of Patron Silver on your way out. This will set you up for a good afternoon of web surfing.
This is a great place to take a shy person for their birthday. Several waiters will come out and sing:
"Happy hezzy birt-day, from all of uz to you, happy heppy birt-day, mumble mumble moo, HEY! Ayyyyy ayyyyyyyyy ayyyyy ha ha ha!"
That person gets a sombrero dropped on their head and if at that point you don't scream, "SHADDA TEQUILA POR FAVOR!!!" you're a bad human being that's quite boring and you should probably eat at Denny's or Lyons instead.
Since there are no pictures, I am going to take one the next time I head in. Stay tuned!
I live within walking distance of this location, and the view is AMAZING. Love it. Plus I can bring the puppy along and eat out on the patio. That plus chips and margaritas and how can you beat it?
Um. Yeah. You could totally beat it. With a stick. At this point I would rather eat at a truck stop food cart then ever go back there.
The first two times I went there service was okay. Not great, but nothing to glare at the waiter over. Then came the day when I realized that it must be mandatory to hire people that are so moronic and rude that they when you ask them a question they don't understand they simply turn to the person standing next to you and ask how many in their party. Um. Hello? I'm still standing right here. I walked out that day and went to eat somewhere else.
The last straw was when I took my mother there on her birthday and the waiter kept forgetting about us, eventually coming over forty minutes later and rolling his eyes while asking if we were ready to order yet.
I yelled at the manager, had our entire meal comped, and as we were walking out the door heard several other people asking for the manager as well.
This place sucks. I go to El Toritos now. It's not in walking distance but I'm always seated promptly and the staff is pleasant prompt and helpful. I wish I'd taken my mom there!

Typical Chevy's food - can't expect much. And I'm sorry but the service here is hella SLOW! I take it back..I'm NOT sorry. I don't get why? There's hardly anyone over here whenever we go! Pretty spacey, but usually empty (lunch hour). Go here every once in a couple months, though, because it's near work and I crave flautas every now and then. But sometimes I'd rather place an order for pick-up because tipping is almost unnecessary.
I miss their seasonal mango margarita=(
Food is usually pretty good, though it's inconsistent. Sometimes it's excellent, other times just ok. I like the atmosphere and being able to sit by the window and look out on the lagoon.
The reason I give it 3 instead of 4 stars is the service. It's wildly inconsistent. We've been to this location about 20 times and about half the time the service is perfect and half the time it's wretched. Sometimes even though we're about the only table in there we can't get service. Sometimes it's packed and yet the service is fast. And vice versa. You never know what you're going to get, and that's a definite loss of a star. I wish they would get their act together on service because we would love to eat there more often. It's right down the street from where we live and we are great lovers of Mexican food. Oh well. Not having any great Mexican in the area keeps me improving my own cooking skills, so there's the silver lining.
I love Chevy's. This Chevy's has an awesome location on the water in Foster City (one could feed ducks from their table on the inside of the restaurant or on the side with an outside deck).
That said, this Chevy's has an uncanny ability to reliably miss some critical component of relatively simple orders. Once I came with a group of friends and it really seemed as though 8/10 of the orders had to be adjusted once they came. Since then, it is almost a game, and there is something wrong with the food each time.
I think management has clued into this because the last time we went, the same mistakes were made, but it seemed as though a manger was 'cleaning up' after some of the wait staff and constantly checking things/noticing things were wrong before we had a chance to complain.

I love Chevy's Fajitas, really I do, but over the years this location continues to go downhill. As others have said the wait staff can be pretty bad, and they are. You have to wait 10 minutes just to get water because the chip boys can't be trusted to serve water it needs to come from the bar staff.
The other thing we have been noticing is the place is getting dirtier each time. The bathrooms at times are gross, the plastic table covers are sticking on the sides (they only wipe the tops) and usually someone has written on the top with a marker. One night my husband had trouble pulling out his chair because it was stuck to the floor. Don't get me going about all the food all over the floor - even on a Monday night when no one was there, how long has it been there?
Please clean up the place! I'm afraid of what the kitchen looks like, we might have to stop going. Hard to resist the corn stuff, it's like a drug or something.
Maybe Chevy's is having financial issues, we keep getting coupons in the paper.

Chevy's food is mediocre at best. The only thing I like from them is their fresh tortillas, guac, chips, and salsa. I once had one of their specials that featured lobster tails, to use the word GROSS was an understatement. But what prompted me to really give this Chevy's a bad review was when waiter.com delivered our food late. It came to us cold and disgusting. Thank you Chevys for making our food early and not getting it ready to be delivered on time!!!
This is a good place to take kids to dinner. - casual with a nice view of the lagoons in Foster City. Kids like them for the tortilla dough balls that they give out to play with while waiting for dinner to arrive. Helium filled balloons for the younger children. Gives the adults a chance to take a breath and watch the electric boats put-put around the artificial lagoons, pretending to be nautical. Food is adequate and gentrified for the American taste buds. For authentic Mexican flavors, I prefer the hole in the wall joint taqueria.
Dog lovers! They have a patio area outside that you can bring your beloved puppy to. That way you can all enjoy the beautiful water view.
Just make sure your dog doesn't try to go chase the ducks.

Can I just say how awesome it is to sit drinking a margarita while looking out over the water. It makes you feel like you're almost on vacation, as opposed to drinking your margarita crying sadly that you're not on vacation.
The margaritas while on the pricey side are value for your money. Always got a good tequila ratio going. i have never left this place less than buzzed! And the fajitas? Mmmmm. Kinda makes me want some right now. I'm not huge on spicy foods, so I love that their house salsa isn't burning my mouth. Everything on their menu is always fresh and yummy. Satisfies my mexican craving without me having to go to a hole in the wall taqueria and pray for no food poisoning.
And their flan at the end of the meal? Mmmm. Yummy. Gotta try it. soooo good!
Chevy's in Foster City is the only Chevy's which I will always go back to again and again. I love to sit at the water's edge and look across the lagoon at all the cute houses that back up to the water on the other side. The margaritas are fine, fish tacos are good as is the tortilla soup. I am always understanding of the staff and its mishaps. I sure wouldn't want to do that work. We go early for lunch or dinner so never have to wait (longest I've waited is 7 minutes) and the place usually isn't too busy so we get decent service. To all of you who have bitterly complained about the service, I recommend you try an earlier time.
If the Edgewater strip mall's parking lot is full - you know there's a line at Chevys and people are spilling out. This happens just about every Friday night, annoying...yes.
Food is not great...yes, their chips are mostly fresh, hot and crispy but...what else jumps at you? Service is slow...so everything is served lukewarm. Don't even get me started on the margaritas - they are WEAK! You can drink a pitcher and still no buzz - wtf?!? Just sad sad sad...
For food - El Torito is actually tastier and more authetic...it's only 10 minutes away at best for better ambiance and food.
As I glance thru the other reviews of Chevy's, it makes me laugh at how short all of them are. That's exactly how I feel ... seriously, what is there to say about Chevy's? "I like their chips. Their margarita's are tasty, but the staff there often have hearing problems .... I said BLENDED!, I WANT salt, NO - I didnt' order the X-large! They sing on your birthday and give you a cheesy hat." Despite or inspite of all this, we keep coming back ... you know who you are and you know what I mean.
I had lunch here today with a girlfriend. I loaded up on chips and barely touched my quesadilla's - as a matter of fact, I'm eating a triangle right now as I make this entry. Seriously though - this Chevy's in particular - I had a nice lunch here with no screw ups and the view was great over looking the lagoon. Last time I visited on a Friday - the lines were super long and even just hanging out at the bar ordering a few drinks, each one was screwed up ... come on now, don't bother asking me if I want salt or if I want blended if you're just going to ignore me. But what the heck do you care ... you know I'll be back.

Cons: Waitress Bindi screwed everyone's order up for the entire section, and the food was horrible too.
Pros: Waitor Tino was very nice in making things right.
I've been here a couple times and the summer of 2007 is definitely the worst it's ever been. As we sat down, the 3 other populated tables on the patio were just about to get their food. Before any thing arrived, one of the ladies was remarking to her family "every time I leave here, I promise to never come back." Then their food came, and waitress Bindi showed up with a giant tray of something they did not order. After dispensing some of it on the table, she finally heard the complaints her customers were giving her that it was the incorrect order. Then the table next to them exclaimed, that looks a lot like their order. So she transferred the food from one table to the other, then left... but her job was incomplete. I actually saw the first customers handing over the tortillas she left behind.
Ok, everyone gets something wrong once in a while right? She gets the next order at the next table wrong, sends it back. 3rd table? Same story. Then it was time for our table... I mean, c'mon, what are the chances she can be that bad? She brings someone else's food, it's not ours, completely wrong order, then on her way out says rudely to the section "Well it's not my fault!"
Can as Chevy's Manager or executive who is involved with the franchise email this to the appropriate person to fire her? : )
Alas, our food arrives, and the shrimp fajitas were horrible, and apparently had been changed since last summer's recipe. Our waiter Tino didn't end up charging us for it which was nice, because it just was not what we wanted at all. The Nachos also tasted like crap... hit up BJ's at Bridgepointe next time for much better food.
We are never coming back.
Chevy's is Chevy's. The only thing worth pointing out about this particular Chevy's location is that it's right on the water, has plentiful parking and averages an ear-piercing noise level during the lunch hour. I think the noise thing is an issue at all Chevy's, though.
I have never been to Mexico. Do they maybe have a chain called "Ford's Fresh Yank" with stereotypical Yankee theme decor? What would that be? Murals of heavy-set blonde people clambering out of minivans with big, white, overstylized tennis shoes, blue jeans, and Cosby sweaters on the way into a mall? What is the food like? A jello-salad fixins bar? Sizzlin' pot roast platters? Mayonnaise and white bread combos with your choice of bland fillings? One wonders. The food at this cartoonish restaurant is passable. When the bean selection moment occurs, say Pinto.

Edgewater is right! What a fabulous spot to sit outside and sip margaritas on a warm, lazy afternoon. Unfortunately, you'll be eating at Chevys. The wait can be long, the menu is fairly good but they often mess up your order. This location is well populated with children and you are guaranteed to hear the birthday song several times while dining. I'm just bitter because the vegetarian options are more limited than they should be for a Mexican restaurant.

The view here is superb. However, they never seem to get my chicken tamales right.
